THEMIS - Zakynthos & Ionian Islands

Themis is a fishing vessel, settling on the seabed at a comfortable 10 meters. She went down back in 1979, so there’s been plenty of time for the Mediterranean to make her home. You’ll find schools of damselfish flitting through the decaying superstructure and the occasional octopus peeking out from a darkened corner. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, open to most experience levels, and provides a nice spot for a longer bottom time, just exploring the nooks and crannies. We particularly enjoy finding the fishing gear still entangled on parts of the deck, a reminder of her working life.
