PATRIA - Naples & Campania
The Patria, a motor vessel, isn't your typical dive site, given its shallow depth. She stranded in bad weather back in 1909 and, after being refloated, was eventually scrapped. What remains is an interesting shallow wreck, with portions of her hull and superstructure still visible, even from the surface on a calm day. We think it's a unique spot for snorkelers or very shallow freediving, offering a glimpse into history and the hardy marine life that’s made her home, like small blennies tucked into crevices. It's not a deep blue adventure, but it's a piece of maritime history right under your nose.
