BR-20 Wreck - Portofino & Liguria

The BR-20 Wreck off Portofino is a proper deep dive, sitting squarely at 45 metres. This Italian bomber, brought down in 1943, lies mostly intact on the seabed, a surprisingly elegant structure even after all these years. We love swimming the length of its fuselage, noting where the wings once stretched out, now home to clouds of anthias and the occasional curious moray eel peeking from a porthole. It’s an expert dive, no question, due to the depth and occasional thermoclines, but for those with the training, it’s a genuinely evocative piece of history to explore.
