With 70+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, mobula rays (devil rays) and oceanic whitetip sharks - Corallo Nero offers some of Portofino & Liguria's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
Corallo Nero, or 'Black Coral,' sits at 36 metres off Portofino, a good intermediate dive. The name hints at its star attraction – a surprisingly healthy colony of black coral. We’ve found barracuda often patrolling the deeper sections. It’s a solid choice for divers comfortable with depth who want a taste of the Mediterranean's unique deepwater treasures.
