With 70+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, mobula rays (devil rays) and oceanic whitetip sharks - La Grotta Dei Gamberi offers some of Portofino & Liguria's richest cave diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
La Grotta Dei Gamberi, the Shrimp Cave, gives you exactly what it says on the tin. It's a proper cave dive, dark and often filled with cloud of red shrimp clinging to the walls. We’d suggest a good torch and solid buoyancy skills for navigating the confined spaces. It’s a site best suited for divers comfortable in overhead environments.
