With 70+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, mobula rays (devil rays) and oceanic whitetip sharks - Le ghiaie offers some of Portofino & Liguria's richest diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
Le Ghiaie offers a straightforward shore dive near Portofino, accessible to most experience levels. You'll find a gently sloping reef with plenty of gorgonians and sponges, providing cover for nudibranchs and small crabs. It’s a nice spot for a relaxed second dive or for practicing skills, with generally calm conditions. We often see scorpionfish tucked into crevices here.
