NOA NOA V - Portofino & Liguria

The Noa Noa V isn't your typical deep, dark wreck dive. This ketch, sunk in 1977 after a run-in with a ferry, now rests at a surprisingly shallow 11 meters, practically a swimming pool by wreck diving standards. What we love about it is how accessible it is, even for newer divers looking to get their first taste of a proper sunken vessel. You’ll find the Noa Noa V sitting upright, mostly intact, which gives it a really cohesive feel. It’s not just scattered debris; you can still make out the lines of the boat, its mast, and even some of the deck features. We often see moray eels peeking out from nooks and crannies, and plenty of damselfish darting around the structure. The light penetration here is fantastic, painting the wreck in blues and greens, and making it easy to spend a good chunk of time exploring every angle. It’s an ideal spot for photography, especially with that clear, shallow water. Our tip? Go early to avoid any boat traffic overhead.
