Presepe degli Abissi di Albisola

If you're diving in Liguria, the Presepe degli Abissi offers something a little different. It's an underwater nativity scene, settled in the depths off Albisola. You'll find statues of Mary, Joseph, and the wise men, carefully positioned amongst the rocks. It’s a surprisingly peaceful spot, with the statues creating an unusual backdrop for the red coral and pink sea fans that grow naturally here. We’ve seen conger eels poking their heads out from crevices nearby, and damsel fish flitting around the bases. It’s a shallow dive, generally calm, making it a good pick for divers looking for a relaxed experience with a bit of local charm.
