Punta del Faro di Portofino - Portofino & Liguria

Diving around Punta del Faro, the lighthouse point in Portofino, offers a solid Mediterranean experience. You'll drop onto a rocky reef, often dotted with some impressive gorgonian fans, particularly the pink ones. Keep an eye out for common Mediterranean residents – we’ve seen conger eels tucked into crevices, lazy scorpionfish camouflaged on the rocks, and painted combers zipping between the fronds of killer alga, which is unfortunately quite present here. It’s a comfortable dive for most levels, typically sheltered enough that conditions are predictable. The biggest draws here are the larger invertebrates, like common spiny lobsters if you're lucky, and the chance to spot a garrupa cruising by.
