With 70+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, mobula rays (devil rays) and oceanic whitetip sharks - Punta della Targhetta offers some of Portofino & Liguria's richest diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
Punta della Targhetta offers a classic Ligurian dive. It's a reliable spot if you're in Portofino and want to get wet without a huge trek. We usually see plenty of rockfish hunkering down and garrupa lurking in the crevices. Keep an eye out for scarlet coral, its rich colour really stands out against the rock. It's generally a pretty relaxed dive, good for a leisurely hour underwater.
