Punta dell'Altare - Portofino & Liguria

Punta dell'Altare offers a solid dive along the Portofino coast, a good option when the more famous sites are busy. We typically drop onto a sloping rock face, following it down to about 20 metres where you'll find plenty of gorgonians. Keep an eye out for dusky groupers lurking in the crevices and ornate wrasse darting between the rocks. It’s a reliable spot for seeing red coral, and we've spotted slipper lobsters tucked away in overhangs. This site is suitable for most certified divers, offering a relaxed profile without strong currents, making it a pleasant afternoon dive.
