Relitto Bianchina - Portofino & Liguria

The Relitto Bianchina isn't just a wreck, it's a mood. Dropping down, you're immediately struck by the sheer elegance of this little fishing boat, now resting upright on the seabed. It’s a photographer’s dream, silhouetted against the emerald Mediterranean light. We love the way the light filters through the remaining deck structures, illuminating the schools of damselfish that perpetually hover around its mast. This is a dive that suits just about everyone. It’s shallow enough for newer wreck divers to get a feel for penetration without serious overhead environments, but still offers plenty of nooks for experienced divers to explore. Look for moray eels tucked into the engine room and the occasional octopus peeking from beneath the hull. Our favourite time to dive it is late afternoon; the low sun casts long shadows and brings out the deep blues of the water, making the whole scene feel incredibly serene. Be prepared for cooler thermoclines, even in summer, so a 5mm wetsuit is usually a good idea here.
