Rimorchiatore Colosso - Portofino & Liguria

The Rimorchiatore Colosso, a substantial tugboat, lies upright off Portofino. It’s a classic Mediterranean wreck dive, with a maximum depth that often puts it in the advanced range. We’ve found the stern and superstructure particularly engaging, where schools of damselfish hover and moray eels poke their heads from the darker recesses. The whole wreck has become a home for various nudibranchs and small scorpionfish, making it great for macro enthusiasts too. Just be mindful of the occasional currents which can pick up, especially if you’re planning a longer exploration.
