With 70+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, mobula rays (devil rays) and oceanic whitetip sharks - Santerenzo offers some of Portofino & Liguria's richest diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
Santerenzo is a shallow, sheltered bay, perfect for those just starting out. We often see it used for confined water training dives, with the sandy bottom and calm conditions making skill practice easy. You’ll spot small schooling fish darting between the rocks, maybe an octopus if you’re lucky, but mostly it’s about comfort and building confidence. It’s not a thrill-seeker's dive, but it serves its purpose well.
