With 70+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, humpback whales, mobula rays (devil rays) and oceanic whitetip sharks - Tunnel offers some of Portofino & Liguria's richest cave diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Tunnel, near Portofino, offers a straightforward cave dive that's often a good introduction to overhead environments. You'll swim through a natural archway, usually seeing some schooling fish sheltering within. It's not a deep dive, making it suitable for divers comfortable with enclosed spaces but without extensive cave training. We'd suggest checking local conditions, as visibility can shift with the weather.
