URSUS - Portofino & Liguria
The *Ursus* is a surprisingly engaging little wreck, sunk neatly at 17 metres in the Portofino marine park. We like this site for its relaxed feel and easy navigation. She's a motor vessel, around 14 metres long, and while the authorities call her 'dangerous,' we think that's a bit dramatic. It means you can't penetrate, but really, the joy here is circling her exterior, watching the light play on the encrusting sponges and anemones. Look for scorpionfish tucked into crevices and the occasional moray eel peeking from beneath. It’s a comfortable dive, perfect for a gentle afternoon in the water and a good choice if you're looking for a low-stress wreck experience.
