With 74+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, mobula rays (devil rays), oceanic whitetip sharks and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - CROUX offers some of Sardinia's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 14-27°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Croux, a steamship wreck resting at a comfortable 22 meters, offers a relaxed dive with plenty to see. We’ve found her superstructure still largely intact, providing a tangible sense of the vessel she once was. You can glide over the decks, peering into cargo holds now home to schools of damselfish, and often spot a curious octopus tucked away in a crevice. It’s an accessible wreck, not too deep or demanding, making it a great pick for divers looking to explore a piece of history without the added challenge of strong currents or complex navigation. The wreck itself has become a vibrant artificial reef, painted with sponges and gorgonians, attracting various Mediterranean reef fish.
