MuMart (museo sommerso) - Sardinia
The MuMart, an underwater sculpture park off Sardinia, offers a different kind of dive. It’s not about dramatic reefs or pelagics, but rather an art installation slowly being reclaimed by the sea. We’ve found the sculptures themselves are interesting, and the fish life, though not abundant, uses them as shelter. Think painted combers darting through a submerged statue's head, or dusky groupers eyeing you from a coral-encrusted plinth. It’s a gentle dive, generally shallow, and quite unique for the Mediterranean, making it a good choice for newer divers or those looking for something a bit quirky.
