ENRICO COSTA - Ustica

Down at 60 metres, the Enrico Costa is a serious dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts. This steamship, sunk by a British submarine in 1941, rests upright and largely intact, a real time capsule under the Mediterranean. We love descending onto the bridge area, where the wheelhouse remains surprisingly recognisable, or finning along the vast decks that stretch over 115 metres. Groupers patrol the darker holds, and you’ll often spot dense schools of barracuda circling above the mast structure. It’s a deep penetration dive that demands careful planning, but the reward is a truly magnificent piece of history.
