Dropping onto the Ferdinandea volcano feels like visiting a lost world. This submerged pinnacle, not far from Ustica, still shows signs of its volcanic past in the rock formations. We've seen barracuda schools swirl overhead here, along with the usual Mediterranean suspects like groupers and snapper. It’s a dive for those who appreciate geology as much as marine life.
