Golfo di Naxos
Protected Area
Fondali di Taormina - Isola Bella
Why dive here
With 60+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and sperm whales - Golfo di Naxos offers some of Ustica's richest diving. Water ranges 15-29°C, warmest July, August, September.
Golfo di Naxos is a good option when the Mistral kicks up and other sites are blown out. The main attraction here is a wall dive, starting shallow and dropping to around 20 metres, with plenty of small gorgonian fans and schooling damselfish. It’s a relaxed dive, good for newer divers or those looking for an easy second tank. You’ll find moray eels tucked into crevices, and occasionally a passing barracuda school.
