Why dive here
With 60+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and sperm whales - Grotta delle Cipree offers some of Ustica's richest cave diving. Water ranges 15-29°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Grotta delle Cipree is a classic Ustica cave dive, relatively shallow and excellent for photographers. Sunlight streams through a large entrance, illuminating the cavern and a healthy population of slipper lobsters tucked into crevices. It’s a good option for divers looking for a straightforward cave experience without extreme depths or strong currents.
Safety Notes
Overhead environment - never enter without proper cave/cavern training, redundant equipment, and a guideline.
