RINASCITA PRIMA - Ustica
The Rinascita Prima, a scuttled fishing vessel, rests upright at a comfortable 20 metres, making it an accessible wreck dive for most. We appreciate how Ustica intentionally sank this 33.5-metre long boat to create a deterrent for illegal fishing, giving it a purpose beyond just a dive site. You can swim through the superstructure, explore the wheelhouse, and check out the deck, which is now home to plenty of damselfish and small schooling fish. It’s a good spot for seeing how quickly marine life colonises new structures, particularly if you’re keen on exploring an intact wreck without deep penetration.
