SIRACUSA (POSSIBLY) - Ustica
The Siracusa, a steamship that went down in 1917, rests at 35 metres, making it a dive for those comfortable with deeper profiles. We found the sheer scale of the wreck impressive; 101.5 metres long, it’s a substantial structure to navigate. Over the decades, the ship has become a habitat for various marine species. You’ll spot schools of damselfish flitting around the hull, with the occasional moray eel peering from a porthole. It’s a good choice if you appreciate historical wrecks and the way they transform into artificial reefs.
