Why dive here
With 60+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and sperm whales - The Arch offers some of Ustica's richest cave diving. Water ranges 15-29°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Arch, or Scoglio del Medico as some call it, offers a straightforward cavern dive on Ustica's west coast. You'll navigate through a large, open archway, usually seeing schools of damselfish and small groups of barracuda hanging in the blue. It’s a good choice for divers looking for a simple cavern experience without strong currents, typically shallow enough for most open-water certifications.
