LARACHE - Al Hoceima

Larache isn’t just a wreck; it’s a time capsule, sitting pretty at just ten metres, making it one of our favourite shallow dives in Al Hoceima. This old fishing trawler, reportedly scuttled intentionally, has become a proper home for sea life, a real pleasure to explore without any deep dive stress. You can still make out the wheelhouse, the hold, and the deck machinery, all now draped in growth. We love drifting over the main deck, spotting nudibranchs clinging to the metal and schools of juvenile fish darting in and out of the darker spaces. It’s an easy, leisurely dive, perfect for photographers wanting to practice their wreck composition or anyone who appreciates history resting on the seabed. The visibility here can be surprisingly good on a calm day, giving the wreck a real ghostly feel as you approach. Keep an eye out for octopus tucked into crevices, they seem to thrive in this kind of structure.
