LUSIANA - Al Hoceima

The Lusiana isn't just a hunk of metal on the seabed, it’s a time capsule from another era. This old steamship, resting upright at 30 metres, is a proper wreck dive, not just a scattered debris field. We love the way she sits so proud, her bow still pointing north as if trying to resume her journey. You’ll find schools of barracuda circling the mast, their silver scales flashing in the ambient light. Inside the holds, where the light struggles to penetrate, we’ve spotted moray eels peeking from dark corners. On the upper decks, now completely encrusted, you’ll see colourful nudibranchs grazing on the growth, and we've even seen octopus tucked into crevices. It’s a site that really rewards careful exploration. For us, the highlight is always dropping into the engine room, a tight squeeze but worth it to imagine the rumble and steam that once filled that space. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and the way the sea reclaims its own.
