EMLY - Stavanger & Rogaland

The EMLY, a fishing vessel that went down in 1977, now lies at a shallow 15 metres off Ferkingstadnes. We found it a pretty straightforward dive, especially good for those looking to explore a wreck without deep decompression limits. She’s broken up quite a bit, but you can still pick out the bow and parts of the stern section, scattered across the seafloor. What we really liked was the way the local wrasse and small cod have made homes in the twisted metal, darting in and out of the plating. It’s a somber site, knowing the crew of four were lost, but a compelling one for a quiet afternoon dive.
