KARMOY (POSSIBLY) - Stavanger & Rogaland

Okay, so you’re looking at Karmøy, probably, near Stavanger. This isn't your average sunny, fish-filled reef dive, and that’s precisely why we love it. The *Karmøy* is a motor vessel, sitting at 25 metres, scuttled back in ‘72. She’s a proper wreck, not some art installation, and you feel that history as you descend. Visibility can be a bit moody here, it’s Norway after all, but when it clears, you get a real sense of her scale, 57 metres of ship emerging from the gloom. We’ve found the bow section particularly atmospheric, often swathed in plumose anemones, their tentacles swaying gently in the current. You’ll spot plenty of cod hanging around, and we’ve even seen the odd wolf fish lurking in the deeper crevices. Our favourite part? Exploring the superstructure, imagining her working life before she ended up here. This dive is for those who appreciate a genuine wreck, a bit of an adventure, and aren't afraid of a chillier water experience. It’s a proper dive, and very rewarding.
