LADY FOX - Stavanger & Rogaland

The LADY FOX isn't just a wreck; it's a slice of history sitting upright on the seabed, and we absolutely love it for that. This isn't a deep dive, topping out at 27 metres, which means even with a shorter bottom time, you get a good, unhurried look around. We found the stern to be particularly captivating, with its clear tiller arm and rudder, giving you a real sense of the ship's last moments. It feels like she just settled there, rather than exploded. The wreck itself is a magnet for the local marine life. Look for the massive schools of saithe that often engulf the mast, swirling around you like a silver curtain. We've often seen Atlantic cod resting in the shadows and various colourful nudibranchs clinging to the superstructure. Entry and exit can be a bit tricky depending on the weather, so we’d suggest checking conditions carefully before heading out. This site is brilliant for wreck enthusiasts who appreciate intact history, and it's a fantastic spot for photographers too, especially on a day with good ambient light.
