MS Tom B - Stavanger & Rogaland
The MS Tom B isn't just a wreck; it's a slice of wartime history frozen in time, sitting upright and surprisingly intact on the seabed off Stavanger. What we love about this wreck is how much of its past you can still touch. You'll drop onto the bow, often finding the anchor chain still running out, before gliding along the deck towards the stern. The holds are open, inviting you to peek inside, and the superstructure offers some gentle penetration for those comfortable with overhead environments. It’s a different kind of dive here. Forget vibrant corals; think atmosphere, history, and the quiet beauty of a man-made structure slowly being reclaimed by the ocean. Schools of saithe often swirl around the mast, and you'll spot plenty of wrasse darting in and out of the metalwork. Our favourite part is lingering around the bridge, imagining the crew, and watching the crabs scuttle across the control panels. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the light filtering through the water columns makes the wreck truly haunting. It’s perfect for divers who appreciate history and enjoy exploring a solid, penetrable wreck without extreme depths or currents.
