OSLO VI - Stavanger & Rogaland

The OSLO VI offers a proper dive into history, resting in just 22 metres. We love that it’s a relatively shallow wreck, easy to navigate, making it a good choice for divers looking for a substantial penetration without pushing deep limits. You’ll descend onto an 18-metre ferry that went down after a collision in 1989, and you can still sense the suddenness of its end. Inside, the ferry's car deck is wide open, an eerie, cavernous space. Sunlight filters through, creating shafts of light that illuminate the resident cod and schools of pollack darting between the rusty uprights. On the hull, anemones grip tight, their tentacles swaying gently with the faint current, and we always spot a few squat lobsters tucked into crevices. Our favourite part has to be finning through the wheelhouse, imagining the last moments before it capsized. It’s a somber but fascinating wreck, best dived on a calm day when visibility is good, revealing the wreck's full scale against the blue.
