SS 2 - Stavanger & Rogaland
The SS 2 is more than just a wreck; it’s a barge that ran aground near Oslo in 1977 and now rests submerged, offering a unique dive for those interested in industrial heritage. We like to explore the accessible hull structure, seeing how time and the ocean have started to claim the metal. It’s an easy, shallow dive, with light usually filtering down, illuminating the barnacles and anemones that have taken root. This site is a great pick if you’re looking for a relaxed dive with a bit of history, suitable for anyone comfortable exploring around a structure.
