TUKAN - Stavanger & Rogaland
The TUKAN is a proper Norwegian wreck dive, sitting upright in about 26 metres of water, a factory ship that went down in 1967. It’s a big girl, almost 80 metres long, and you can still make out the superstructure and the hold entrances. We’ve found wolfish tucked into crevices, and often spotted large cod patrolling the deck, which is now well covered in anemones and dead man's fingers. Visibility can be a bit variable here, so we always check the forecast, but on a good day, it’s a genuinely atmospheric dive, best suited to divers comfortable in cooler water with some wreck experience.
