Balanciais Fora - Algarve & Berlengas

Balanciais Fora is a good intermediate dive, sitting comfortably at 19 metres. It’s primarily a rocky reef system, meaning you’ll spend your bottom time navigating around boulders and cracks. We’ve had some pleasant encounters with octopus here, usually tucked away in a crevice, and the wrasse are always darting in and out of the kelp. Visibility can be a little variable, depending on the day and recent weather, but when it’s good, the light plays nicely through the water, illuminating the small crabs and nudibranchs clinging to the rocks. It’s a solid choice for divers looking for a relaxed exploration rather than dramatic walls.
