Castelo de Neptuno, or Neptune's Castle, is a very approachable spot off the Algarve coast. It’s a shallow dive, topping out at 14 metres, which makes it an ideal place for newer divers to get comfortable. What you’ll find here is a collection of rock formations, creating little nooks and crannies that are home to various small critters. We often spot octopus tucked away, and the occasional moray eel peeking from a crevice. It’s not a drift dive, so you can take your time exploring the rocks and the sandy patches in between. Think of it as a gentle introduction to the underwater world around Faro.
