Martelo is a shallow spot, topping out at 10m, which makes it good for newer divers getting comfortable in the water. You’ll find a mix of rock formations with plenty of smaller Mediterranean fish darting between them. It’s a gentle introduction to diving in the Algarve, perfect for a relaxed afternoon dip rather than a deep exploration. Good for those looking to practice buoyancy or enjoy a longer, easy dive.
