Praia do Martinhal (Martinhal Beach) - Algarve & Berlengas

Praia do Martinhal is a gentle introduction to Algarve diving, particularly good for those just getting their fins wet. The maximum depth of 7m keeps things relaxed, making it ideal for open water students or anyone wanting a chill dip. We often spot cuttlefish here, especially in the sand flats just off the rocky patches, and there are usually plenty of small wrasse darting between the rocks. Visibility can be hit or miss, typical for a shallower beach dive, but on a good day, it’s a perfectly pleasant spot to spend an hour or so, easing back into diving.
