With 116+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - SQ II offers some of Algarve & Berlengas's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 15-19°C, warmest June, October, November.
SQ II is a yacht wreck in the Algarve, settled at a shallow 5 metres. It’s a dangerous wreck, so we’d suggest divers respect its instability. What you get here is a close-up look at how quickly marine life, particularly smaller fish, colonises a new structure. It's a quick, easy dive, probably best for photographers looking for a novel subject or those just starting out with wreck diving.
