WM MC L BORDEN - Algarve & Berlengas

The WM MC L BORDEN, a schooner that went down in 1916, is one of our favourite Algarve wrecks for a reason. Resting upright at a very manageable 22 metres, she’s largely intact, offering fantastic penetration opportunities if you’re properly trained and equipped. We love seeing how the light filters into the old cargo holds, illuminating the schools of glasseye and cardinalfish that have made it home. Expect to see plenty of European lobsters tucked into every crevice, along with conger eels peering out from deeper within the structure. This site is brilliant for wreck enthusiasts who appreciate a bit of history and don't mind a slightly darker, more enclosed environment. Dive it on a calm day; visibility can be a bit variable here, but when it's good, it's really good.
