Biscoitos Cavern 1, 2, 3 - Azores
The Biscoitos Caverns, numbered 1, 2, and 3, offer a gentle introduction to cavern diving here in the Azores. Each cavern is shallow, maxing out at 19 metres, with wide openings that let in plenty of ambient light. We've often seen schools of timid cardinalfish sheltering deep inside, and the rocky walls sometimes host nudibranchs if you look closely. It's a comfortable spot for newer divers to experience overhead environments without feeling claustrophobic, and the calm conditions usually make for an easy entry and exit.
