CABEÇOS ILHÉU MOSTEIROS - Azores

Dropping down at Cabeços Ilhéu Mosteiros, you’ll find a series of volcanic pinnacles rising from the seabed, creating interesting swim-throughs and small caves. The site is around 29 metres deep, a good intermediate dive. We've often seen schools of barracuda circling the peaks, and the crevices sometimes hold moray eels. It’s a solid spot for divers looking for dramatic topography and pelagic encounters, without excessive current.
