SEABIRD - Azores
The Seabird wreck, sitting shallow at just a meter deep, isn’t your typical Azores dive, but it’s certainly worth a look if you’re into something a bit different. It’s a great spot for snorkelers or very shallow freediving, with the wreck’s shape still quite distinct. You’ll find schools of juvenile fish darting amongst the rusted metal, and it’s a surprisingly good place to spot nudibranchs clinging to the growth. We often see blennies peeking from crevices too. It’s an easy, relaxed exploration, perfect for a surface interval or when you want a break from the deeper volcanic walls.
