With 219+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and hammerhead sharks - Terceirense offers some of Azores's richest reef diving. Water ranges 16-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
Terceirense is a straightforward dive, topping out at 21 meters, making it quite comfortable for newer divers. You'll find yourself exploring what remains of a small, old cargo ship. It’s not a dramatic wreck, but the scattered pieces offer plenty of nooks for small crabs and octopus to hide. We often see schools of sea bream here, too, moving over the sand patches around the wreck.
