With 44+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and sea turtles - Cala Viuda offers some of Costa Brava's richest diving. Water ranges 13-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Cala Viuda offers a straightforward dive, good for shaking off the rust or for newer divers. The rocky seabed has plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, where you’ll often spot octopus and moray eels tucked away. Keep an eye out for small nudibranchs on the rocks. We find it a reliable spot when the bigger sites are busy.
