Why dive here
With 44+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and sea turtles - Estribania offers some of Costa Brava's richest diving. Water ranges 13-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Estribania offers a straightforward dive, popular with local dive centres for training and easy access. You'll find a rocky seabed sloping gently, dotted with sponges and the occasional small octopus or moray eel tucked into crevices. It's generally well-protected from stronger currents, making it a good choice for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon. Visibility is usually decent here, around 10-15 metres on a good day.
