Why dive here
With 44+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and sea turtles - Port Lligat offers some of Costa Brava's richest diving. Water ranges 13-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Port Lligat offers a straightforward Mediterranean dive, often calm and sheltered. We’ve found the rocky reefs here host octopus, moray eels peeking from crevices, and small schools of damselfish. It's a comfortable spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon dip to stretch their fins. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the light plays nicely through the sea grass beds.
