La Galite Islands - Tabarka
Getting out to the La Galite Islands from Tabarka means a longer boat ride, but it often feels like you've left the modern Mediterranean behind. The reefs here drop from around five metres to a good 35, a solid intermediate dive. We've seen everything from big schools of bogue and scad out in the blue to red mullet poking around the sand flats. Keep an eye on the deeper sections for dory, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a monk seal. It's a great spot for those who appreciate quieter, less pressured reefs.
