ENDEAVOUR - Northumberland & Northeast

The Endeavour, a former German harbour ferry, was scuttled in 2019, making it one of the newer wrecks off the Northumberland coast. We appreciate a purpose-sunk wreck; they’re usually placed with divers in mind, and the Endeavour is no exception. Sitting upright, it’s still largely intact and offers some interesting penetration for those qualified, moving through the car deck and engine room. Shoals of coalfish often swirl around the superstructure, and we’ve spotted plenty of blennies tucked into crevices. It’s a decent dive for intermediate to experienced divers, especially given the typically cooler North Sea temperatures and sometimes lively currents.
