LUGAR - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Lugar* sits upright at 28 metres, a proper old iron steamship from 1857. You’ll find her off the Northumberland coast, still holding much of her shape despite hitting the rocks back in 1891. We love how her hull plates are often draped in dead man’s fingers, and the nooks and crannies of her remaining structure are home to plenty of wrasse and blennies. Keep an eye out for ling tucked into the deeper parts. It’s a good dive for those who appreciate maritime history and don’t mind a bit of a current, which can sometimes be strong. Visibility can be hit-or-miss, but on a good day, exploring the *Lugar* is a solid North Sea wreck dive.
